New From SF Bay Area

Hi all, I just purchased a 1941 66 2 Door Sedan a month ago. It's in decent shape and I've been enjoying doing some tinkering on it. After a frame off restoration of a 45 *****'s Jeep its nice to have a project that isn't so daunting. Currently have the transmission pulled as I change the clutch since it was slipping in 1st and reverse from stop. Going to rebuild the transmission while its out and am trying to find some modern replacement countershaft roller bearings.

Welcome, by the look of the picture the body and chrome look to be in nice condition. Looking forward to seeing the progress on this.

Thanks, saw those. And yeah, mine needles are in good enough condition to not warrant the high price. The original appear to be 0.817 " long while SKF offers 0.750 and 0.938" rollers. I suppose of they eventually need replacing I can adjust the spacer length.

As long as the surfaces are nice and shiny , you will be OK.
It's when they look dull and pitted, that they need to be replaced .
