Question New to join

I have had many Oldsmobiles in the past. What I am curious about his production numbers. Where can I find a Vin number breakdown for 1990 model year? Is there a breakdown of VIN by model, or did the numbers run concurrently for all models for 1990. This number looks like possibly a first , 1G3EV13C5LU310001.

Welcome. The factory Chassis Service Manual for the year in question will provide that info in the very first section. I can't speak to the 1990 model year, but in prior years, the starting VIN serial numbers varied by car line and assembly plant. For example, in the 1972 model year, A-body cars built in Lansing started with 100001. Full size cars (B and C-body) started with 400001. Toronados started with 700001. Each assembly plant started with 100001, so you could have had a Cutlass from each of the four assembly plants with that starting serial number.
