New 88 owner, shipper needed

Greetings! I have recently become the proud owner of a 1966 Delta 88 Convertible. I have been reading the forum a little to learn all I can, and I can't wait for the car to be delivered. Unfortunately, I am still trying to find a decent shipper, but I keep getting caught in a net of questionable brokers who don't even own a truck.
I am trying to get this from Missouri to California (about 1800 miles). Any leads would be much appreciated. Thanks!

We used a company named "Central Dispatch" to ship all our Mercedes-Benz, BMW Porsches, etc. from our dealer in Atlanta. We never had any issues. They put the order out to their drivers, and then these independents will submit their price.
If interested, google "Central Dispatch".

I've shipped three cars cross country in four years. Bottom line is that every shipper I've ever dealt with sucked. Even the ones who say they own their own trucks are actually brokers. Expect them to lie about the price, then after a few weeks or a month, when the car hasn't been picked up yet, expect a call to ratchet the price up. Most drivers want to fill their trucks at major cities on either coast and drive to the other coast to maximize profit. It's more difficult to find an open spot for a mid-US pickup point. Heck, I had trouble getting a driver to stop in Reno, NV, since they were trying to fill up in SF before heading east.
As for Uship, I tried that site several times and only got lying scum brokers.
Bottom line is expect to pay 50% more than the lowball quotes you get initially. I finally had to resort to asking for a no-**** quote that would guarantee pickup within a week. It was 75% higher than the original quote, but the car finally did get delivered as promised. Your 88 is considerably larger and heavier than most cars today, so expect to pay a premium for that as well. The only good news is that fuel costs are quite a bit lower than when I last shipped.

When I used Uship the guy that did my delivery was RDWarren Transport.
I got 70 442, a spare motor, a spare transmission and 4 wheels and tires delivered from Ann Arbor Michigan to Memphis TN for $899, I think there was a $25 fee to uship too. I was willing to be flexible on the time to save money.
He picked it up one weekend, and then locked it up at his house and brought it to me two weeks later, I had no issues at all. I guess the biggest deal with them is that there are many different companies that work through them so you don't know really what you are going to get.

I have used Monarch Car Shipping several times and always been happy. Yes she is a broker as they all are. Robyn at 800-239-9339 is who I have dealt with and never had any issues. Price quoted is price charged car delivered as promised no problems. monarchcarshipping.com and her email is sales@monarchcarshipping.com
I have had people ship using uship and have seen some pretty crappy equipment show up to pick up cars and had several without any insurance from uship.
I do not recommend using them. The lowest price for something is not always the best answer.
