car shipper recommendations
car shipper recommendations
I purchased a 1968 toronado from a member here and need a shipper to get it from oregon to St. Louis. Does anyone here have any personal recommendations for companies they have used for shipping? I am not in a huge hurry for it to get here (shipping it can wait a couple months), but I would like it to arrive, and arrive in the same condition it leaves oregon in.
Does it run good and can drive on and off the trailer? It's less expensive to move a car which runs well.
I use Dependable Auto Shippers, I have the car shipped "terminal to terminal", which means the seller has to drop it at a terminal near him and I have to go to a drop point near me and pick it up instead of delivered to my door. I also get it on my insurance before shipping and do not take their insurance. I moved the white convertible from CA to here, Southeast Ohio, for $865 in June.
Good luck,

It does not run (technically it does but according to the seller, it needs a fuel filter or carb adjustment as it will not run unless you pour gas into the carb).
Also, I don't think it would be able to be trailered to a pick up point.
