need help (info)

I have just joined this group and need some info on my olds. I have a 1984 cutlass supreme , brougham. The wiper, cruise control, washer ,unit has a broken washer /wiper assembly . Will I need to buy a whole new assembly , or is there a better solution, like a used unit from another car, like maybe a buick of similar age ??
thanks for any help.turn signals work just fine !!

If you are talking about the multi-function lever on the steering column (as opposed to the washer/wiper motor on the firewall) then get Dorman Products P/N 49284, available at most auto parts stores. You will need to pull the steering wheel and turn signal switch to fish the wire through the column. Hint: Tie a string to the old wire before you pull it out to simplify this process.

Joe : I found out that I can get just the "washer " part of that assembly so
I don't have to buy the whole thing. got the part for about ten dollars
Thanks again .
