57 Olds continental kit,I need some help/info.

Hi
I have a 57 Olds, who I am going to build a conni kit and I need some info-measurements.
I need too know how big the cover-deck has to be. (The distance between the trunk lid and the bumper.)
Also if someone can take a picture of the tilt mechanisms for the wheel, it would help me a lot.
Is there anybody on this forum who has a continetal kit mounted on their car and could help me with this,it would have been great.

Hi Larry Henry
Here is some pics of my car, I bought it from Colombus Ohio in the spring 05.
But I am still working on it,when I bought it,the engine was rebuild, but the crankshaft bearings were not mounted the right way,so it had low oil pressure.
But its ok now.
The engine is a 69 455 bored out to 461ci.

Very nice looking. You did the engine nice, all dressed up! The dash looks to be in very good shape too.

Hi
I have bought a chrome ring and the round back cover.
I will bring the car to Poland this spring, to have it painted.
These days I am installing a master cylinder from a Suzuki Swift.
The original one, wasn’t rebuild able.

Thumbs up Osage beach

Hi Ozonblue
You have a innteristing website.
I just saw that you were from Missouri.
I actually bought a 76 Buick Electra in Osage beach in 2005 and used in on our vacation, for a month.
We were all together in 22 states and had a great journey.
We flied in to New York and stayed a couple of days, visiting a friend in NJ, I actually get to know at an Polish classic car forum. (He is originally from Poland)
Then we travelled 25 hours with a greyhound bus up to Missouri, (it has been a dream for many years) I am kind of nostalgic, have seen to much old American movies.
Pictures from our tour here.http://home.monet.no/torghatten/viking_album.htm
I am looking for a dealer badge for my car, mine is broken.
It was sold new at Burlingame Eldon MS, so if you ever se one, I am very interested to get one
Here is the firm, were I bougth the Electra.

WOW! your car looks great. I can't see any rust anywhere. It looks to ba a completely solid car. Keep us updated and I can't wait to see more pics as it comes along. It looks like a ninety-eight? What do you have in it for a motor/trans? What color is it?

Looking foreward to see what it looks like when it is done.

The color combinitation is one of the nicest colors I have seen from th 50's. Most cars are either blue, yellow etc. That color is somthing different that makes the car stand out. The foot switch is for the radio, it was a rare option that came with the super deluxe radios. Your car is the "perfect sleeper" as they call them. I am anxious to see more pics as it comes along.

Hi
Because of health problems, I haven’t done so much lately.
I will go down to Poland to a hospital-rehabilitation for 3 weeks; hopefully there will be more time in the garage afterwards.
I have bought two more projects, a 55 and a 56 Pontiac.
How is it going with your project?

Hi
Here is some pictures I shot, when i picked it up.
It looks better than it really is.
Is a nice car, but there is some rust and the brakes needs some work.

The 56 is a rustfree project car, it's a 2 door post and I have a 1969 Pontiac 428cid for it.
I don't have any pics of it yet.
I will bring it home in May.
I wish you a happy eastern over there.

The pics are shot about 1, 5 hours drive from my home, towards the inland.
A fjord called Tosenfjorden is ending up here.
Here is picture a little bit further out, by the fjord.
Its from February 06, when I was driving to the local DMV, to get my Buick licensed.
A 2, 5 hour drive from my home.
