Can anybody tell me what size engine come with the Oldsmobile 442 cutlass and is it a long or short block?

What year (it varied over the years)? And I think the correct terminology is "big" or "small" block.


Also, I would suggest starting your own thread in the newbie section, instead of glomming onto one that's four years old.

To clarify...a long block is an engine with the cylinder heads on it and a short block is with out.

Welcome. I moved your post to it's own thread because you'll get a better response this way than by resurrecting a four year old thread. As noted, the engine size varied with year, so we need more info.
