Lansing Native

I got some great input from this forum before I bought the car and took delivery back in November and I am finally getting around to posting. I live in Tallahassee Florida but was born, and lived the first half of my life, a few miles from where my current car was built - Lansing, MI. My first car was a 1972 Cutlass Supreme way back in 1982, hard to believe it was only a 10 years old car when I paid $450 to purchase - the ravages of MI winter had already taken its toll. My new ride is a 1967 442 Convertible. Originally from Pennsylvania, but spent some time in Texas then back to Northern Michigan. It is no show car but a decent driver / older restoration that i will slowly improve without tearing it apart (like my 66 C10). It is pretty original and complete, including the protect-o-plate, but does need a few things. I believe it has the original / correct engine but it is the wrong color - not sure why. Looking forward to some top down cruising when the weather improves - even in north Florida.

Welcome to the site, very nice car. The engine seems to have the right fill tube, wonder why they went with the blue? That's also an odd routing for the fuel line over the exhaust manifold.

Thanks. It has an electric fuel pump due to some vapor lock issues in the past. Need to check it out and go back to mechanical.

Looks like 390925E. The heads are C code and the passenger head stamped number matches the Protect-o-plate.
