Hey Guys!

Hi, I luckily found this vast knowledge base and am glad to be here, I own a 79 Ta Silver Anniversary with the 403 and NEED some power out of her

I have not much info to give but hope to learn plenty, thanks in advance for all my questions soon to be forthcoming

Hello and welcome. My best advice to you would be to keep the running engine you have now, in your car, and continue enjoying it as is. Find another block to work with and build it from the bottom up according to your wants, needs, and budget. You can spend $5000 or more pretty easily to build a stout Olds powerplant. More importantly, you need to find a machinist that is well versed in building an Olds to last. Here's a 403 build with some descent numbers-

Get rid of that corporate boat anchor and put in a Poncho 455 or 400.
