Hello from Sweden!

Hi all,

My name is Ashley and I come from England, but now live in Sweden. For the last 12 years I have owned a 1958 Oldsmobile Super 88 2-door station wagon - the only one in existence.

Unfortunately my long-term plan to restore her is not going happen and I have had to put her up for sale on ebay (I have posted the direct link in the for sale section of this forum).

Really a sad time for me as I have always loved 58s as they are big ugly, beutiful cars! I hope I will be in a position to get another 58 at some point in the future.

Ashley

Welcome to the site! I'm sorry your having to sell your car, but I know sometimes life changes and our plans have to change with them. Good Luck on your sale! John

The pictures Ashley had on AACA and ebay showed it was coachbuilt from a 2-door hardtop that was made on the European GM assembly line. Interesting beast. Apparently it did some funeral service time as well as some time as a band's tour car.

Welcome! Always amazes me of the US cars abroad especially Sweden - I am also into first generation Camaros and there are numerous Swedes on our forums, probably outnumber the Aussies and Kiwis. I still remember riding in my grandfather's 58 S88 back in the day and can relate to the big beast description.
