Hello

Hello all new to the forums. I am 85% sure I'm picking up a 1968 Oldsmobile 442 this week and this forum looks to be a great asset for classic Olds owners.
This will be my second 442...but my first classic olds, I had a 1984 Hurst Olds back when it wasn't a classic.

Welcome to the site. 68's are great cars. A better choice then a 69 with 57's being the best

Great site you will find lots of information and help here

Thanks everyone! I sold the 84 to buy a 1968 dodge charger....back when the 84 was worth more than the 68 charger.
Speaking of needing more 68 442s I actually used to like the 69 and 70 cars more but the 68 has really grown on me. I love the front end of the 68 and the rear bumper is much cleaner than the earlier or later cars

We look forward to seeing pics of your 68 when you buy it. Make sure you take "before" pictures even before you wash it.

68-442 are nice cars and if you do get it then pics are a must. any work you need to do you can always get lots of good info from these guys Even if it's not a 69 that's fine we need a little more diversity here anyways

Hello Olds folks

Hello I'm buying a 1985 cutlass salon in week when the owner gets back from Hot August Nites in Reno it was his mothers car it looks in fair shape with 109,000 miles body is great with very little rust in the usual spots wheel wells and door bottom the rest is clean he's asking $1500. it runs and drives great very smooth I dont know much about Oldsmobile having grown up in a Chevrolet family but i did always like the G body styles of GM I specially like the super sport type interior this car has with floor shifter and console it also has the 307 engine does anyone have an opinion on this vehicle? I think its worth the money he's asking.

I think it's a fair price if the car is mechanically sound and in as good shape as you describe.I think you will like the Olds and this site will give you all the info you need to keep her running smooth

Great to have another '68 person aboard. Both the '68 and '69 models are fine cars - I like the lines of both and have the good fortune of owning one of each. Have fun and use this forum for any questions you have - there's lots of expertise out there and I've learned so much from others here. It's the best Olds site.
