Hello
Hello
Hello to all from the San Francisco Bay Area! My first love was a '70 Cutlass S rust bucket that I bought from a customer in Miami while I was working a summer gig as a outdoor lawn sprayer for a SoFla pest control company. It had been sitting for months with a for sale sign that had it's price slashed about 4 times and was currently sitting on $300 back in '97. I bought her then and there and drove her for months while I made little improvement here and there just to keep her running. Since then, I've owned a few Cutlass' from '67 through '72, but there was something special about that first one. Perhaps it was the delusional optimist in me that thought it would one day get back to its glory days, but I sure enjoyed my time with all of them as they came and went.
Unfortunately, as I aptly chose my username, I just don't have time for these toys. It's been years since I sold my last Olds, but in the early 2000's, I decided to take a few engine rebuild classes at the local college. Not so long after that, I started accumulating a bunch of parts that I hoped that I would one day work on and have as a hobby. Again, I just don't have the time with the two jobs I currently hold, and to make matters worse, all those parts are now taking up valuable garage space.
So, I am joining this forum in hopes to start posting a number of the larger pieces that I'd like to move as soon as possible. Among them are (2) 455 blocks, a 350 block, a bunch of heads, cranks and miscellaneous stuff, that if of value to someone that appreciates Olds parts, I'd much rather see them make use of them rather than end up in a scrap yard.
I'm off to take some pictures! I should have more to share in the coming days.
Pablo
