Hello all! I have finally stumbled upon a worthy 1973 Cutlass Supreme worth restoring. My father's first car was a 1973 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme, which he worked tirelessly to restore to the best of his abilities. He meticulously maintained and cared for that car. Unfortunately he was forced to part with the car to aide in paying for college. He has had other classic cars throughout the years, but has always made the sacrifice to go without for his family. My brother and I have talked for years about finding and restoring one to be just like his first car and I have finally found one to get us started. I don't have a vast knowledge of the history of the cutlass, so I look to the forum to be a place for me to learn as we work on this car and eventually surprise my dad with his first car.

 

Welcome to the site. After your done with your dads I'll adopt you and your brother and I would like a 68 Coronet R/T. All kidding aside, that's a very nice gesture on you and your brothers part. Post some pics for us.

 

I think I can echo the thoughts of most people here and go with: "Who does this???" Great idea! He will love it, I'm sure.

 

What a nice thing to do for your Dad.

Welcome to the site, you and your brother are awesome kids!! Its nice to hear of such a nice story behind your dads love for the 73 supreme and what he has done for you kids. I'm sure he will treasure the 73' for many years.
