One way is to have the picts on your computer and click on Go Advanced at bottom of the message box. Then click on manage attachments and you can choose the picts from your computer then upload them...

Click on the "Go Advanced" on the bottom. Then right next to the smiley face top center there is a picture of a paperclip (attachments). Click on it. You can load from you picture file on your PC or from a remote hosting site. After you load 5 pictures, click on the upload button and they will appear in your posting. Click close the window and your done.

I prefer to use photobucket as a hosting site and link to the picture using the tag img with [] around it and then close with /img with [] around it.

Like this:

I use Photobucket to most of the time too....
In photobuckt, scroll over the pic you want to post here and a black box with several options pops up. Click Links and then another box pops with with 2 choices, click the [IMG]https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/newbie-forum/newbie-forum/ file, it turns yellow and says COPIED, that auto copies the file and then paste that file in the thread box you are posting OR
From Photobucket scroll as explained above but click Links and click the Direct file just explained above,..and it auto copies as well and return to the messahge posting box for the thread u are posting and look UP at the top of the message box,,,there is an icon all the way to the right, second from the end icons all the way left and click the "Insert Image" icon looks like a small square with a mountain and a setting sun....click it, backspace the http:// away to erase (it will be highlited in blue) and PASTE your DIRECT file you auto copied and it enter in that open Insert Image box, then ENTER and BOOM...Your pic will upload.

So we have 3 ways to upload pics here....try em all.

Gosh Damn that was wordy. I hope it makes sense.

There's only one thing wrong with Photobucket.
Photobucket only keeps the photos for limited period of time. Sometimes I like to refer to old posts for info, and the photos have been deleted by Photobucket.
This is why I don't use Photobucket!

Exactly. That's why I upload as much as I can to the site. I admit I do link to other sites sometimes, but I try not to link to things that I know will go away, like eBay auctions.

If you upload it to the site, then it will be safe, at least until The Big Crash, at which point, we all pray that IB will have backed up all of their different sites...

Yes, I agree at times you look in old post and photos are deleted , but have always thought that it was the one who photo it was deleted it out of the storage sight.

Tinypic is the simple and easy way to post pics.
Copy and paste the direct link using the image tag.
They dont dissappear like photocrumpet.
