Clean the battery connections. Your solenoid is clicking from lack of battery power. Did you leave a light on over night? If so your battery is really dead and will need a good charge. Leave it on a 15 amp or more charger for a hour or two and try it again. You may have lost a cell in your battery and it could need replacing. A battery from another car will start it faster if you need to get on the road. Are you in the Twin city area?

This can easily happen. Most jumper cables cannot deliver the high current needed to start a car if the battery is completely dead - the wires are not thick enough and they are too long. They are more correctly called "booster cables".

Try to charge overnight. If unsuccessful, the battery is prolly gone.

Good idea also. They check initial voltage, load test it and check the recovery rate. Fast and accurate.

When charging a totaly dead battery you may have to hook a second battery to it,to get it to take a charge.don't forget to check the ground connections

Good point - those automatic-type chargers may require this, as they may sense full when really not.
