Barn Find 77 Cutlass

Hello! I've owned a lot of different cars but never an Olds. I do construction and cabinet work and was remodeling a bathroom for an individual whose bachelor brother had just passed on. He stated that he had an old truck that he was interested in selling that had belonged to his brother. It was in a pole barn on a farm along with some other farm equipment. I went and looked at it and was just not interested. Behind it though was a 77 Cutlass Supreme. He wasn't really sure about the car since it had set there unmoved since 94. We finally agreed on a price and I got it started and after some work brought it home. I am usually more interested in prewar stuff, but this kind of took me back to my youth. I graduated in 83 and these were the cars my buddies all seemed to run around in. At that time I had to make do with a 71 VW, so I envied these cars. It has just over 56,000 miles on it. 350 engine with a 4 barrel. It is red with the red and orange interior. Red vinyl top and spoke hubcaps. Needs a battery, tires for sure, and rear rubber body fillers. I am not too computer savy so it may be a while on pictures. Thanks ! Cronjie

Thanks. I got a new alternator, battery and bulbs on the car this morning. Cleaned huge mouse nest out of heater fan and plenum. Blows fine now. New set of tires soon. Having a blast! Cronjie

Welcome to the site. You bought a very cool car. Neat color combo being triple red. Those spoke wire wheel type hubcaps are pretty rare on a Cutlass. The car would look real sharp with a set of white letter tires and Olds SSIII wheels. If you change the wheels, be sure to hang on to those wire hubcaps though. Glad you are having fun with the car. They are great cars. You'll probably hear this lots more - post pics when you can.
