Hi all not sure if this is the correct place to post this question/problem but here goes - had my 70 442 for 50 years now and this is the first time that the inside hood latch control is not working - guess I've been lucky up to this point. The inside latch slides to the unlock position but the handle under the bumper will not move to the open the hood. How can I see where the problem lies with out being able to open the hood? Can I disconnect the mechanism so that I can at least drive the car without the concern of an emergency situation arising under the hood? I believe Fusick and others do sell some parts but my main concern right now is being able to drive the car safely.
