Hood Locks
On mine one of the hood lock roll pins slid part way out of the chrome part and wouldn't allow you to rotate the lock to release the hood, if that's whats up w your you can Barely access the pass side from underneath I was able to coax the pin the rest of the way out w long 12" needle nose pliers ...idk if you could get to the drvrs side
you can not access the drivers side because of the battery. This happened to me and a buddy's car. What I did is just wiggle the hood lock over and over again until the pin shifted in place. Happened a few times, one time I got it out quickly the other time I had to go back to it a bunch of times as it took a long time.
Yup, this is a common problem. On my 70, I had to carefully lift up on the hood and pry under the lock area until the pin bent and I was able to get the hood open. Spring pins are available at most hardware stores.
Again, the problem is that the pin in the shaft of the **** slides to one side. The result is that it sticks out too far on one side and won't clear the slot in the bracket on the core support. You can still turn it, but you can't get the hood open because the pin hangs up in the bracket. Please see the posts above.
that is why I slide the hood pin back and forth while occasionally pulling up - the friction will eventually slide the little pin enough that it is in the correct place - its trial by error or do what Joe aid - I had to do that once on someones car as well.
I wonder if that is why so many of these hoods are cracked - one gets frustrated and WHAM!!!! - 35 years ago it was just a used hood to many.

Any good hardware store will have them, but if you strike out there are multitudes to choose from on line..
Good luck!
