330 pulleys

Hi all,

I'm new on the forum I'd like to say hello to all and hope I'm posting this in the correct section.
I've been search forums and the internet for a few days but can't find any solid info.

I'd like to know if pulleys (crank, steering, alternator) from a 350,455 fit on a 330.

If not where can i find a complete pulley kit for a 330? ('67 A-body)
Thanks!

yes and no
As an entire set, including PS pulley and the pump it fits, yes.

Mix & match, not so much.

Slight spacing differences between grooves 1/2 vs 2/3 between pre-68 and post-67 pulley sets comes to mind. Then there's the three different lengths of water pump to deal with.

The engines can be changed in a car and use THE CAR'S
Water pump
PS pump
ALL the pulleys
AC pump
all the bracketry and special bolts and spacers.

and things will go pretty smoothly.

If you change any of these car's pieces, you quickly get bogged down in mismatched stuff that doesn't fit and work right.

I have the water pump & crank pulleys of a 67 Cutlass, no air car, but had heavy duty cooling. PM if interested.

I'm looking to convert a non PS Cutlass (67) to PS,
If i order a pump it will be with out pulley, so I need a pulley and crank pulley to accommodate.

Hang on a second. The 1967-earlier cars used different accessory brackets than the 1968-up cars. The pulleys are also different. The PS pump mounts high on the driver's side on the 67-earlier motors, low on the driver's side on later motors. This was due to the narrower frame used on the 64-67 cars. Folks have successfully used the 68-up PS pump brackets on early cars, but I have not done it myself. The pump reservoir is also different on the early cars (though the pump itself is the same).

I would suggest that you'll find things much easier if you get the complete setup from a 66-67 car.

Is your car A/C or non A/C?
I may have what you need.

I see,
So i'd need a 64-67 Pump bracket, the pump and a 64-67 crank pulley and powersteering pump pulley.

Would i run in to issues with the alternator or water pump?

Car is non A/C.

Welcome to C.O. I agree with Joe. My problem is in reverse. I have a 350 (block #395558)in my '64 Cutlass with the original alt bracket, PS pump and bracket from the original 330. My belts are slightly misaligned. I would like to have all brakets and ps pump for the 350 to correct my situation.

Great so that means 330 requires 330 spec pulleys and brackets to align everything, as I did see 350 v belt pulley kits available.

1965-1967 brackets are what you want. The 1964 330 motors used a unique water pump with a driver's side inlet (all 1965-up Olds motors use a passenger side inlet). As a result, the 1964 brackets are one-year-only and will not work with your motor due to the different water pump.

The alternator should be fine. Be sure you have the pulleys that match the length water pump you have (or get a pump that matches the pulleys you get, which might be easier). Be sure you use everything as a matched set, or you almost certainly WILL have belt alignment issues. All 1964-1990 small block Olds motors are externally identical EXCEPT for the water pump and timing tab differences on the 1964 motors.
