1968 Cutlass Supreme in TN
Hey hi hello from Chattanooga
Picked up this ol girl, figured I'd share, plus I'm new to the board, new to Oldsmobile, not new to diving into projects with no solid plan, ha!
1968 Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe
3100miles on the clock when I picked it up last weekend from outside of Knoxville, drove it about 100mi home.
Was incredibly smooth for a 55 year old car....the blown brake booster made things a bit spicy, but it kept me awake.
Has (as best I can tell from the 5 minutes ive been researching Oldsmobiles) the normal rot on both front fenders. The only other place that has any body issue is at the top seam of the trunk lid.
The Camaro wheels are just a place holder, car came with the original 14"s, but I cant in good conscience leave those on there.
With such low miles and very little wrong with it, the loose plan right now is to get it as close to original-looking as possible. New carpet, brakes, wheels, and a respray possibly. It was originally a vinyl-top car but I dont see myself going back that route. I'm going to start a project thread, so if I do anything dumb or miss anything please call me out on it.
Anywho, glad to be on the boards, looking forward to sharing the progress. As I've kicked myself a dozen or more times for diving into a project and not documenting my work, I've made a committment to myself to fully document this journey.

Welcome to the best Oldsmobile site that exists today. This site was (and still is and will probably always be) the place to go for me when I restored my '68 and '69. Ask questions; you will get bonafide answers that will help you with what you want to accomlish with your car. I'm glad you posted your data plate; your car was built at the end of April '68 and my '68 was built at the beginning of April '68! Have fun and enjoy!
