Automotive Journalist, Hurst Equipped Co-author Joins the Forum
Hi everyone in the group, my name is Rich Truesdell I am the co-author of the 2012 book, Hurst Equipped. I have a few author copies left and am offering the remaining copies signed by me and co-author Mark Fletcher. It includes USPS Priority Mail 2-3-day shipping for $60.
I just found 10 more copies of the January 2010 issue of Chevy Enthusiast in my storage unit, a magazine that I launched and edited. Unfortunately, Chevy Enthusiast only lasted 12 issues before the publisher, Amos Automotive, shut down the entire group, including its legacy title, Cars & Parts, that had been published since 1958. As a bonus, I'll include a copy of Chevy Enthusiast with each purchase (it helps to protect the book in its USPS Priority Mail envelope).

When the book was published in the Fall of 2012, Mark and I made an appearance on Jay Leno's Garage, a clip of which is posted to YouTube. Needless to say, it was a lot of fun to talk to Jay about the book.
If you want to see an example of one of my Oldsmobile magazine features, I can point you to this, from almost 15 years ago, published in Musclecar Enthusiast, one of my all-time favorite magazines. Do any of you remember Musclecar Enthusiast?.
While there are fewer and fewer print publishing opportunities than there was here in the United States when this was printed 15 years ago (they are almost non-existent here in the US with all the magazine closures here), if you have an Oldsmobile with an interesting history, I invite you to reach out to me as I still have a portfolio of classic car magazines in the UK and in Europe that I still contribute to. Several editors continually ask me, especially in the Scandinavian countries, for unique content. So I'm still looking for interesting cars with a story, especially original owner stories. They would rather commission an Oldsmobile feature rather than another Mustang or Camaro story. And I still love writing them

Welcome, Rich. I've read and enjoyed your stuff in the past. Glad to see you've adapted to the death of print media and best of luck in continuing to find outlets for your talents.
PS -- "Camaro" is spelled with an 'a'. If you ever need a copy editor, let me know!

Among the other threads, especially the for sale categories, which would be the best to post a dedicated listing for Hurst Equipped?
In a couple of days, I'll post another Oldsmobile feature, probably the 1967 442 that was the cover car of the last issue of Musclecar Review in November 2010, when Amos shut down the seven marque-specific "Enthusiast" magazines plus Cars and Parts, replaced all seven with one magazine, then shut that down a year later.
Most likely I saw your work in Musclecar Enthusiast, Guide to Musclecars, MuscleCars, Muscle Car Review, Collector's Guide to Muscle Cars, Musclecar Classics, MuscleCars of the '60s & '70s or any one of a number of other car rags I used to devour back in the day.
Probably best to put the Hurst book in the classified section, or if you want to do a thread specific to the Hurst/Olds it could go in the Cutlass,4-4-2 and Hurst/Olds forum.
