Pro-Touring 66 Cutlass
I've been a member here a few months and have been buried with work, but I figured I better post something up before Richard (gearheads78) gets upset with me! I've owned my Cutlass for about 5 years now. Shortly after I bought it I had Bill Trovato drop a '68 455 in it.

Then I had some BMW M3 seats installed:

Next I decided to tear out the front suspension and install ATS AFX spindles & steering arms, SPC Pro-lite UCA's, and SPC LCA's. I replaced the inner/outer tie rods, the pitman arm & idler arm, and the center link. Also installed SPC performance springs and double adjustable Varishocks.

I got some black SPC UCA sleeves from Marcus and reassembled the UCAs. I think they turned out pretty good.

and then attached my Upper & Lower Control Arms

Finally got the helical spacers in from SPC!

You know how it is Jay, it's a perpetual project. I still have to plumb the power steering pump & and install the lower SPC springs in the rear end. I'll be replacing the gas tank (just found out it leaks) and replacing the fuel pump and lines and also setting up a fuel return line & cooler. Also, doing an auto to manual (T-56 Magnum) transmission swap. I need to redo the wiring and install HIDs. It's a total money pit!

My headers are the low point right now--about 3.5" off the ground. I have to drive it a bit to decide if I need to raise it an inch, but I think the front end looks killer the way it is right now. The front end actually went together very easily. The shocks were OK to install, but in full droop they are about 3/4" too short and so I'm trying to figure out if I want to shim them. As far as the rear, I do not plan on doing anything right now, but a 9" rear is in the plans for the future. If you want to talk in detail about anything regarding the front end or shocks specifically drop me a PM and we'll talk.

I like the low stance very much also. Here is a shot of my 67. Now on the 64 F-85 post build under major projects and builds-64 post update I'm going to add a thread to it. I have got in my suspension components. Very similar to your set up on the 67.

Now that car does have some WOW factor! Why do you think Richard (Gearheads78) would be interested in pictures????? LOL! To have seen his car, in person, is/was just awesome. Yours is in similar territory. Congratulations on joining the "money pit" group of our hobby.

Rob,
yeah the stance on the 67 is very nice indeed. Just checked out your thread on the 64---you are making excellent progress.

Thanks nonhog..I really haven't thought about it much lately. It seems like I'm always messing with it. But it'll be mostly street with some autocross peppered in there if I can find the time.
