Wondering What I would need for a 383 stroker

I’ve been eyeballing this 383 Stroker made by Atk and was wondering what all would i need, I know I would need a new transmission since the Th350 won’t go with the 383 but im wondering what else would i need other than a transmission. Kind of just seeing what i would need for exhaust system, fueling supply, no A/C on the engine but just curious

1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham is the Car btw

You would need to convert to a Chevy engine. Here's a thought. Put in a 455 Olds and don't look back.

Is this an SBO or an SBC based engine? If Chevy, I believe adaptors for your TH350 are available, but life will be easier if you stick with Olds.

Do you know any shops or sites that do sell 455 blocks or even partially built ones? Just considering the 383 because of the availability of parts and blocks in my area

What is your location? There's a lot of members here who have extra parts including engines.

I’m over in Idaho, but most definitely willing to make a drive to surrounding states

Do you have a 455, i’d be willing to drive to you if the price is reasonable

Have you ever thought about editing your profile to add your general location ? I believe there are at least two that show them to be in Idaho.on here.

I was referring to "on here" as being on ClassicOldsmobile. "Horsepower" is one, I think "Young Olds" is another.

You could put a 700R4 on the back of the 383, and get overdrive. They should almost be a bolt in. You will need a shortened drive shaft, and an adapter universal for the front. There are TH350s for the 383 as well.
