Octania is right, if you're using the stock rocker arms the book says 25 ft/lbs on the pivot bolt.

Do you just tighten down where ever they are or must the valve be in a certain position?
Thanks Guys!

If you have the intake manifold off you need to make sure that you are on the backside of the cam lobe when you torque it. You can see the lifter on the cam surface.

If you have the intake manifold still on it, then finger tighten the bolts and turn the engine until you get all the slack out of the pushrod and the pushrod is sitting as low as it can in the hole...it should then be on the backside or at least off of the lobe. Then torque it down.

Ouch! I feel you. When I was in high school I used a cast iron intake and had to have my dad help me just to make sure I set it down straight. After pulling it off a few times he said to hell with it, I'm buying you an aluminum intake for Christmas just to save my back...then I spun a rod bearing and never got that intake lol!
