New here and new project
Just wanted to introduce myself and the project I will be starting soon.
Today I bought a 1970 442 that way being built into a w-30 clone. It is a roller right now that has a base paint but no clear yet, a 6-point cage has been added, a chevelle rear-end with 4.11's and strange axles, and a spool, the spool will be replace with a limited slip diff. The Body has been removed from the frame for paint, and the underside is just as clean as the top.
stock disc's up front and willwoods for the back that have not been installed.
the plan is a stock interior minus the cage, 5 or 6speed manual tranny, and a mild 455 with stock "C" heads.
Anyways, thank you all and I look forward to sharing this project with you all, pics to come!

I've definitely seen this car in other posts. The work looks beautiful.
Good luck and great base for whatever you want to do.
I'd keep the cage too...just in case you catch the speed bug. You'll be welding it back in!

It's awesome that some people are aware of this car, deff. a good foundation to start off of and the car deserves to be finished!
The only thing that I will not leave is the spool in the rear-end, matter of personal preference.
As far as the steering box goes, I am not sure what it is but i will let yall know when I get the car home next week.
Looking forward to sharing this project with you all.
