I think you'll need a flex plate for a 455. Are you using the Jetaway or going with something else? I would do the engine and trans as a unit.

That sounds like a plan as the T400 will require some extra work for the cross member, ebrake mod and a drive shaft. There are a couple of threads on the xmember.

I have read most of the threads concerning this. I wanted to do both at the same time but Iam getting conflicting info on the rear end swap. I was told that they were a direct bolt in swap. Recently I have been told that I will need a longer drive line with .the 12 bolt olds rear end and I only want to deal with drive line once and I don't have the funds to install the posi yet

Nice surprise!

I haven't even given my rear much thought yet. Currently it has the stock 3:08 peg leg in it. I need to get through some unforeseen financial obligations. Maybe next year.

Welded up most of the trunk today decided not to glue it down and ran straight beads around the butt of the seams

Also I am getting ready to work on making a patch section for the rear quarter was wondering if there might be a interest in the heal section of the front fenders left and right I believe right side is nice but the left would need mild work

If they are nasty looking I would paint them and use some acetone and a rag on the tops of the fins and logo before the paint cures.

Yeah that was the day after I dropped the engine in. That's always when a DD is the cleanest, just goes down hill from there.

It's a replacement cheapy Vista Pro aluminum with plastic tanks. It was on the car when I bought and does a pretty good job with the BB.

Left quarter was hit and fiberglassed filled
Right quarter is a rust farm

If you look on the in side of the trunk on the left quarter you can see the heat shrink spots and I must say, I did not help with the quarter patch today my friend was slow and had it done when I went over after work to cut and make one so we both called it a day and didn't stay late to work in it

Wow, a lot of work since I last checked in here. Keep at it! From the pics, it looks like your patch is lap welded? That would be my only criticism. Makes me appreciate my nearly rust free project. I wouldn't even know where to start on a rustoration like that. Get-r-dun, at least a great car was saved and not crushed.
