Thanks, I have many projects 6 kids truthfully I only spend two to three hrs a week on the mistress ( lol) my wife is amazing to me couldn't have found a better lady.

Any ways finished up the front and rear section of the left fender today wow that was a ton of work my shoulders hurt from filing. Just have a small lower section on the front then I need to strip the top and back side still then prim and on to the trunk lid

Finishing up the deck lid cleaned the seam up so I can prime and reapply the sealer sanded with 120 just need to scotch bright the under side a bit more as I am using the old paint as the primer on the part

i will take pictures for you of how everything looked originally.. if you have any other areas you would like pictures of let me know before i start the dis-assembly.. i may miss something as i tear things apart.. i tend to get in a hurry at times... but you are safe for now..i just have 2 speeds "slow and stop"... usually if i moved any slower i would be going backwards..

Striped windows and all the door guts today got about 80% of the pait and Bondo off of the door today

There are a few dings, I will be working out. There are a few on the edge, I am not sure how to get out but my good friend is going to show me . He also wants to pull the post trim off the door, I explained it's glued then crimped on so I dont feel it's a good idea he says we can heat slightly and get it off with out damaging it. I am just unsure I want to risk it

Thank you

Okay almost done with drivers door, got a good size scrap down the middle of the door out and about thirty little dings.

the very bottom seam was wavy so here is a truck I learned dolly underneath and hammer high spots down file to find the low spots if you fine the low spots I just hit the side of the seam and it pushes the metal up and file some more and adjust as needed

On the edge of my door under the handle there are a few dings / wrinkle was going to use filler, but my buddy saw how straight the rest of my door and work was,so he said he would led fill them for me !!

My painter is getting excited to paint this thing, he has came over and inspected my metal work and is amazed that I've caught on so fast. my buddy still over looks my work and helps adjust as needed but it's getting less with time

Looks good, your making a lot of progress with the car for only an hour or so in the evening.

Looks like we have about the same amount of work to do, with the only difference being that my front fenders are in very good condition.

Sorry if I missed it, but what color are you going with?

This doesn't do it justice in my opinion

null_zps8311195b.jpg

It's a ruby red off of a subaru 2012 that I altered to my liking. I added more metallic and pearl it almost looks like a candy when the light hits it directly but still has the plain look in the shadows.

Here is a sun light shot

Pulled my right door yesterday getting ready to tear it down . I ordered some tinning butter to do the led work on the left door . Hopefully I can have both doors ready for primer by the end of the month so I can start the hood and roof

Kinda I work for a dealer shop that has a collision center attached to it . I m no body guy I am a service tech my specialty is steering and suspension as I do most of the mechanical for the body shop.
One of the vets of the shop has been teaching me and guiding. He was the one who actually did the work on my quarters I just did the prep work. I have done 80% of the doors fender and trunk lid tho

I did a motor reseal for my painter and he is priming and painting the car straight across 😄

Worked a few dents out today in the right door starting to take shape .
