kids helping with project
so i work on the project so much !That when I started to pull her out to clean off all the dust, to get it ready for summer crusing. That the little ones just freaked out and had to help!!
Not the first time, about a month or so ago I was finishing putting the crome valve cover on the left side and my 2 year old girl wanted to help, so badly that she climed up the right front fender putting a small dent in the wheel molding crome to help me! it was so darn cute couldnt even get mad about the dent.
She sat on the right wheel well and watched the whole time!
she will know more about cars then I do some day ( daddy has his way no boys and all cutlass )

So true . My 72 cutlass supreAm my oldest. Boy witch is now 13 helped wet sand it for paint, when he was three years old ! Some how he still remebers helping . Not the same as I remember it ,but has inspired him to want a 70 cutlass s as his first car . It's the little moments like this that will make the builds worth every Cent that I put in to them . And the many. Hrs of unPleasent work take the good and the bad to make the best memories

That's soooo cool. Save that pic for her to see when she's older. Looks like she got more water on herself than the car.
Never know, she could just as well turn out to be a gearhead too!

That's ok! I can see her smile in the car wash pic and imagine it was pretty much the same! Glad you guys had fun. Just remember, in another 14 years you might be wishing she was still young and controllable. That's when you take out all the pics you took of her helping you .... as a reminder of what it was like in 'the good ol days'.

So true I have 6 kids 3 girls and 3 boys and truly she is the only one that's gets excited it pretty hard to go to local car shows she want to get into every car and some times the old timers hear me fighting with her and open the doors for her luckily I have tought her well to just sit and enjoy instead of climbing and jumping all over . Daddy's special moments !

She's sweet! Those wheels look killer from that angle. Plenty of bling in the sun when they're turning I'll bet. Now just need some bodywork and paint to make it look uber cool.

Yes this winter we are stripping her down sand blasting inside and out just about got all the parts needed just kinda want to drop in a big block why it's apart but funds I think I would drop ten grand into a motor and wouldn't be able to afford to drive it down the block lol

She removed all bolts but two I need to cut them out when she not around !!
Maybe I should move this to a major build ?

Awsome pics man. If you are going to make this a build thread send me a PM and I will move it over for you.
Your daughter reminds me of mine around that age. This seems like yesterday but she is about to turn 7 now

I thought this 20 gal Snap On one would work, but nope. Not even close. So it went back to Costco after I drained the oil. I know exactly what you're going through with the air supply issues.

Yup! What you need is something that will deliver at least 15 CFM with 110 psi. I found that out too. This is what I ended up with. It delivers 18.5 CFM at 100psi and 18CFM at 110psi. Worth every penny of the 750 I paid for it.

I did mine 3 years ago and still shows like the day it was sprayed. It does take some time for the odor to diminish though.
re: chrome. You know that powder coaters can almost simulate chrome nowadays for a fraction of the cost. Have you thought of going that route on that rear plate?

Okay so I thought I might fill in some info on my build .it's a 1965 cutlass my family and I are all working on this together I've spent the last year buying selling trading car parts and this is what I have going into it this winter
Front clip is just about off . Stock 330 coming out with a 71 455 with g heads to replace it . I do have Ka heads to go on it tho .
Two speed jet away trans to be replaced with matching th400
Interior is about 95% complete
Body work is not much trunk floor pan and front fenders replaced but we will see as sand blasting continues if this changes !
What I still need is suspension and front disk brake conversion and a few odds and ends like radiator and cam kit intake
Thanks for reading and any help with the build hope to have it done in two years

Just keep on plugging away. Every time you post to the thread it will re-emerge on the New Posts and also will get an email notification to have a look. I like your plan for the power team. What gears and carrier?
#25
I believe there stock 3.23 non posi but not sure ,the rear axle has a OS in the right side if that helps . I want to put 3.42 posi gears in. I want a street car not a drag car even tho it would be nice to runs 12 or less lol!!

A few pics off the radiator support that was poorly patched at one time.
I believe that my car was painted twice in its life time.pulled most of the chrome trim and there seems to be theree different colors of blue .left fender is possibly org it has the baby blue like the rest of the car right fender was org white
Which I believe answered a question that I had that it should infact have the cutlass badging ,but I am going to put the V8 badge on the front fenders I like it when people are shocked that it's a Oldsmobile and not a Chevelle or Pontiac people seem to forget about olds
Just about done with the dash just waiting on a few parts that I bought sure hope they come soon .would love to finish it up so I can box it up and get it out of the way ,tell I am ready for it

I figured .do you know if the drip rail above the door comes off ? Or the trim around the rear side window trim as well .
This is where the paint is flaking off and going from blue to red I wanted to cover as much area as possible
