72 Vert Restoration - seeking advice

Progressing on the restoration and am looking for advice for those of you have done this before. It's a 72 Cutlass Supreme Convertible non-AC. I have most of the interior removed. Before I can lift the body off the frame, I have a few more major items to remove:

Convertible top assembly
Windshield
Dash pieces

I'm looking for suggestions as to what order to proceed in. My thoughts were:

1) Remove the convertible top hydraulic system as a unit (motor/lines/lift cylinders).
2) Remove the mechanical parts of the top.
3) Remove the heater core/blower motor assembly (non-AC car).
4) Remove all other firewall parts on engine side.
5) Remove dash pad/switches/gauges/ etc...
6) Remove the windshield.
7) Remove any remaining parts on the firewall on interior side.
8) Unbolt body mounts from frame
9) Liftoff

For those of you who have done this, does this sound like the right order or should I do things in a different order (my goal is making disassembly as easy as possible)... Thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks again,
Steve

My top was in good condition so I left it and all top components in my body when I removed it from the frame. The firewall and heater box items kind of fall in place. I also left my windshield in because the frame surrounding it was in good condition. Take lots of pics. Bag and tag and get a factory assembly manual. It is a great resource of the way things are supposed to be.
