Your rebuild looks like mine. Doing a 73 that has been subjected to our nice Canadian winters. Keep it up as the light from the other end of the tunnel will come. At least a lot of replacement parts are available from Inlinetube, Fusicks and The Parts Place.

Headlight ASM's were PC'ed in semi-gloss black. As for wrinkly/wavy, etc... it seems common that PC'ed parts have a bit of a wavy peely look to them... at least all the parts I have had done so far. My headlight holders that mount to the ASM's below (which were glass bead blasted) looked the best. Perhaps b/c they are curved... looked really smooth all round. Cast Iron parts seem to look the worst... at least my rear axle (I believe it was pitted anyway though) and big A/C bracket were.

When it comes time to blast (soda or glass bead) my core support, I will likely try to have the top part polished afterwards before PC'ing. Otherwise, I think I might have it professionally painted (top at least) as I want it to look smooth. Same for the rad support. I had it PC'ed a while back, but the top surface is too rough looking for my liking.

Also note I removed all the rivets for the plastic adjusters and springs. Will be adding later on with hopefully with close to correct rivets. I see AMK sells replacement springs that look the same, and will likely try them out.

wavy/peely/wrinkly or whatever look...

Yep, still around.

Project has been on hold for a while now. Not sure when it will start again. When it does... I will post again as usual.

Thanks.

Oldzy, i want to thank you for your wonderful post! I have been having a real hard time figuring out the location of the brake and fuel lines from ILT, on my 72 supreme, especially since i have the disc conversion kit from them which has the valve on the master cylinder. Looking at your photos has helped tremendously with the fuel lines. Ill be studying your thread! Thanks!

Life happened and he had to put his project on hold. He had to sell some of the parts he'd collected, but last time I talked with him there was still hope that he could get back to it again someday. That has been several years ago, I hope things are going well for him now.
