67 cutlass 455 canton oilpan fitment issues

Installing a 455 based 495 in a 67 supreme that is a total drivetrain rebuild, I bought new 2261 mounts verified I have correct sbo frame mounts and pan is laying on crossmember and cross shaft of the steering and can’t get both bolts thru mounts. Has anyone had this issue with the canton oilpan?

I have a Canton in my 468 67, and there's about an inch underneath it.

Thanks fleming442, I even went down and picked up a set of other mounts thinking maybe I had bbo frame pads and it wouldn’t even sit down on frame pads any ideas what it could possibly be?

Wish I could help. Mine really isn't a good example. I've got Smittys solid mounts from way back, a front plate on brackets I made, and a crooked frame. BUT, it is proof that it will work, as i have a drop base air cleaner on a Holley Street Dominator and the hood shuts.

Mine fit fine in my 70 Cutlass. I wasn't impressed with how warped it was, otherwise plenty of room, small block mounts and frame pads with my Olds 358 build.
