4 Link Suspension and All Around Disc Brakes

My question is, are disc brakes on all four wheels really that beneficial or would just adding them on the front suffice? Next, I'm having my rear end rebuilt with a posi traction and the person rebuilding it mentioned looking into a four link suspension for my car. What's the benefit of this type of suspension? All I'm looking to do is have a fun cruiser. The car is a 72 Cutlass Supreme with the 350 Rocket rebuilt with a mild setup.

If all you want is a "fun cruiser," you don't even need disk brakes on the front.
As for the rear suspension, yeah, it's got four links already.
