1970 442 Rear Bumper - Help ID something?

I have a repop 1970 442 rear bumper with the exhaust cutouts. Behind the fuel door, to the right of the fuel filler neck is a circular indented area on the bumper with a hole in it. I've already got the two rectangular fuel door bump stops so what goes in that recessed round hole? Can anyone help with a picture?

That hole was for air shocks.

Really? You aren't pulling' my leg? LOL I searched all my manuals and every pic I could find online and couldn't find any reference to what goes in that hole. I kinda thought it either had something to do with keeping the gas cap tethered or some sort of way to keep the fuel door open while filling up.

Nope. That's where the fill valve for air shocks went, and back then a lot of factory air shock installations used metal air lines instead of plastic tubing.

My old man's 68 ElCamino had the fill valve in the gap between bed and tailgate. He threw a load of sawdust in it one day and started pumping up the shocks. IDK how much air he put in (90 psi max was recommended) but he blew out the bladders on both shocks. He muttered something about POS and never replaced them.

When the fuel door is open, at the right end of the spring, there is a tab that you are supposed to jam the gas cap between the tab and the bumper to hold the fuel door open.
