Change Interior color opinions
#4
I have the Sienna interior in my '71 and have often considered changing the color when I get to that point in my restoration. I suppose it comes down to the type of build you want. If you're big on originality and want to preserve the value, then stick with the factory colors. On the other hand, if your project is for fun and you've always wanted a certain color combo, then go for it and aim for a quality job.

Yes, I think black is the coolest interior color.
NO, I don't think painting it all with SEM is going to be a good idea.
SEM the dash, console, and trim pieces.
But the door panels, seats, and material should be replaced with new black upholstery from Tamraz (Cheapest I found)
EVERYTHING that looked worn was replaced because I'm notoriously **** about how nice stuff has to look.
Except the seat belts because those I'm probably updating to shoulder belts
I spent a thousand or so restoring and putting all new interior in my 442 tribute to metallic green.
I really want to switch it all to black though to be honest. I want bolstered seats too though.
I might end up ripping everything out and selling a complete interior to someone looking.
