Anybody know how this was put together? Nut and bolt or was it some kind of a plastic snap thing or something rivet maybe?

I have not seen this rivet being reproduced yet, but I am sure someone here has a spare part from a damaged parted out assembly.

I have seen, & done this before, using a small short bolt with a nylock nut & tighten it just enough to keep everything together but not tight enough to bind the two pieces of plastic together.

Auto Zone or Pep Boys most likely carries plastic fasteners in the Dorman product line that will possibly work...
