Yeah they are a special bolt with a thin head and a shank. You should be able to buy them new. I think they are a 13/16" head. Ask about them in the parts wanted, if you can't get new- no doubt someone has some.

I have some excess seat belt bolts. Described as follows. 13/16 hex. 1/2X13 thread with 3/4 thread length. The smooth neck is 1/2 diameter by 9/16 length. Overall length is 1 3/4 which includes the pilot length. of 1/4 length. These are all new that I received by accident for my 66 Cutlass. Reasonable price.

Greg, this is what they look like. Nobody gives dimensions in their catalog. OPG shows 4 differant ones.

Does anyone know how many need the shank? I am assuming 6, 4 in the backseat and 2 by the console and 2 don't need the shank on the side where you exit the car.?

Hey Johnny, I just looked this up for my 70 convertible. Looks like only the front inside bolts (b) get the longer shank. The retractors (a) and the rear (c,d) all use the shorter bolts without the shank. I do not have any spare bolts with the shank but have a few extras of the shorter bolts if your still looking.
