Package Tray Material
Package Tray Material
Anyone know what material to use for the package tray. I've tried ordering these but seems like every deal has this tray on backorder! I think it's thicker than normal black cardboard but is there a source for some material and I'll make it myself!
There are several names - chipboard, bookboard, davey board, cowl board.
I bought some from this place:

This is .070 thick, I'm not sure that's the same thickness as the package tray.

Thanks. Mom made that for me back in the '80s. Growing up, all us kids helped mom make several hook-loop carpets (Skilcraft kits), all of them works of art. I designed this and she made it. Its a little faded, but one of my wives took some red paint to it to spruce it up at some point (having trouble remembering when / who, so probably an ex, LOL). Its much more durable than the factory cardboard. It appears that Skilcraft is still around, but you can just buy the yarn, matt and latch-hook tool at hobby places.
