Original Seats

I copied what seems to be the original sticker. I am confused about the seats. It lists Custom Front Sport but it also shows Strato Bucket as standard. Also the headrest looks too modern to me.

Also I was suprised to see the radio speaker bi-phonic rear. I found the speakers behind the back seat and pulled them out assuming they had been added later

Finally does anyone know exactly what the outside thermometer indicator was?

It gave you the ambient outside air temperature. This one is mounted on an A body. For bigger cars (Toronado, Ninety-Eights etc.) in the 70's it was incorporated in the driver's side mirror.

Is this a 72 year?

On the Supreme vert, Strato buckets were standard but the A65 sport bench seat was an option. I have it too but wish i had the buckets. That headrest looks just like the '72 model's headrest.

The rear speakers could have been added later... What did they look like? Post the numbers on the magnets and I can tell you how old they are and who made 'em.

Your 'vert is equipped much like mine!

What are listed at the bottom of the widow sticker (as it says) are *standard* equipment for that model. That is what you will have *unless* you have something different listed in your options, which is the case with your seats. Buckets are standard, but you have the *optional* Strato-Bench seat. A no cost option. The headrests look correct for the bench seat.

looks like the correct seat to me, many convertibles were ordered with the sport bench rather than the buckets, I have heard from the elders that was because a third person could sit in front and stay warmer on cool nights, but who knows. Headrests are correct too

thanks all for the confirmation of the seats and the thermometer. Outside part is gone from my car.

The speakers are Pioneer TS-6905 Coaxial 3 way.

Also the car has an 8 track. It is not listed on the sticker, dealer intalled option?

8 track could have been dealer installed or even installed later

Third person? That was so the second (female) person could sit next to you and you could put a head lock on her with your right arm. If you had a 3 or 4 speed you let her shift gears.

That outside temp indicator option is a toy.
Makes about as much sense as a speedometer on a bicycle.

Hey - I had a speedo on my bike when i was a kid...
It broke at about 3000 miles, but at least I knew how fast i was going when I crashed...
I had lights and a horn, too. Later a siren with a microphone. the neighbors hated us.
Later I taped an AM radio to the handlebar. My friend and i shared banana walkie talkies and used them like a CB.
The neighbors were glad when that all subsided. However, after I saw "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", I was off again, but it got much better.
The good ol' days.........

The side mount, outside air temperature gauge. What is the actual name of the part? I can't find it anywhere on the web and I have one. What model did it originally come with?
