I know there is a loos hanging vacuum hose under my dash.
And i do not know where to put this on.

I did look in my chassis/bodymanual from fischer but i do not understand this.

As it looks i have to mount this on my enginevacuum???

it is one of those hoses that is comming from the heaterswitch.

i mounted it, but hear a sissing sound at my heaterswitch if it is not set right.
So i disconected it again.

Who can explain this hoseproblem

 

The hoses from the heater switch go to the different air doors in the AC/heater plenum. You also might have a number of hoses going through the firewall that connect to either manifold vaccum, vacuum canisters, or the heater core valve. I suggest you lie on your back and check the AC/heater plenum first. If there is an air door control mechanism missing a hose this is probably where it goes. Good luck!

 

You need the Chassis Service Manual, not the Fisher Body Manual. The A/C vacuum hose routing should be in Chapter 1 in the A/C section. The hoses have color coded stripes on them.

 

What settings cause the hissing sound? This might go to the water valve at the rear right of the intake...

 

There are going 3 hoses ( i think) from the heater switch.
1 to the heater and 1 to the vacuum valve just above the trans tunel.

I looked in the chassis service manual, and it looks like the hose that is left would go trough the firewall on the engine vacuum.

I did put the hose back today.

But if i turn the heater switch sometimes i heard a sissing sound.

And i do not know why i need the vacuum becouse it also uses cables to function.

Question, is it poseble that with disconecting my hose my heater is not working? So i don't get it warm inside?


and 2, is vacuum a AC thing? or just heater stuff.

Combining this with my AC pulley's but no AC installed

 

You need both vacuum and cables because they do different things. I don't have the diagram of yours in front of me, but typically the cable is used to control the temperature blend door, that opens or blocks the air passage through the heater core. The vacuum actuators are used to switch between floor, dash, and defroster vents. The hissing means that either you don't have the hoses connected properly or there is a leak somewhere.

If you just want to prevent the heat from getting in the passenger compartment, you can disconnect the two hoses from the heater core and connect them to each other to bypass the heater.

 

Have to wait and check the collors of the hoses.

Those vacuum canisters, are they one way type?
And can i use this from a different car?
I'l know that my olds suzuki 410 had those on and stil have some.

They are not on my olds but should be as the manual say's.

I conected the hose again, heater works and i'l hear no sissing sound yet.

But il have to surch a new cabel for the Hot/ Defrost link
