Distinctive interiors
#2
Can you provide a link? I googled Distinctive Interiors and got all sorts of results for interior design companies.
I've heard that most of the aftermarket interiors are made by the same manufacturer:
https://www.lebaronbonney.com/
However, their prices aren't as good as other sources:

https://www.kanter.com/

Lebaron bonney makes some high end older reproduction stuff very pricey- and they have the old AutoKraft "semi custom" patterns and make and sell those under their ezboy brand- but They certainly don't make EVERYTHING for the aftermarket.... there are a lot of companies making reproduction interior stuff now.
Distinctive industries is one of several that make a lot of GM A-body stuff.
PUI is another
Legendary Auto Interiors is another
TMI is yet another, but they only make chevy covers for A-body & F-body at this time- no other GM covers. I imagine eventually they will expand their lines- as they used to only be Mustang & VW before expanding to the Chevy stuff.
There are likely others too.
The questions you should be asking are... how does each one compare to one another for:
Quality for -MY- specific year & pattern car. some do certain ones better.
Color constancy against your other panels (black is easy, but other original colors- again some do it better than others)
Price & lead time - don't expect to get your covers tomorrow. Some of these require a month of leadtime as they are made when ordered!
just a few things to consider.
I have used distinctive before, and they are ok quality wise for certain style covers. About on Par with PUI and they are competitive with PUI pricewise.
I prefer legendary due to better color match to oem, heavier & better defined grain stampings (more like oem).
Unfortunately Legendary has a very long lead time and tends to be more $$ than the others, but if your car is a keeper then its worth it.

FWIW, I'm currently waiting on fabric samples from these folks:

I'm planning on re-covering seats for my 86 f250. I considered Kanter, LMC Trucks and LeBaron Bonney as well. I know it's not for my Olds, but I will probably post a thread once I start disassembling the seats.
