Correct Sheen For Underdash?

I'm in the process of painting the under dash black. What is the correct sheen?
I'm assuming satin?

It was more a matte finish and textured. I'm assuming your talking about the steel portion of the dash board. It was a slight textured spray. Assembly manual gives paint codes for mixing.

So the steering column was both semi gloss and flat?
Or was it either semi gloss or flat?
If it was either, what determined which one was used?

The steering columns themselves were NOWHERE near flat so semigloss is for the column.

I think they are referring to the steering column COVER (plastic piece that screws to the dash metal UNDER the column) when they mention "flat" there. Someone forgot to proofread at the factory.
