Power Steering line
So yeah my power steering line decided to make a nice stream onto my engine last week and i found out it was dry rotted... got her towed home >< and then orderd the part, but my question is how do i change the line, is it a twist off or just pull of or what?
Depends on which one. The high pressure line has inverted flare nuts at both ends. The low pressure return line has hose clamps.
Unscrew the two flare nuts (one at each end of the hose). You'll want a flare nut wrench for this to avoid rounding them off. Expect a stream of PS fluid when you do this. Once you get the new hose on, fill the pump, jack up the car so the front wheels are off the ground, and with the engine running turn the wheels side-to-side repeatedly to bleed the air out of the system. The fluid in the pump reservoir will be pink and foamy for a while. Let this settle out then top off the reservoir.
