I'm progressing with my 455 swap and I'm not sure how to proceed with the fuel line. My old 1968 inline 6 has two ports on top of the fuel pump. One from the tank, the other to the carb. The fuel pump on the 455 (from 71 delta) has three ports on the fuel pump. One in, one to the carb, and I assume the other is for a return line to the tank. Am I correct with this assumption? Do I need to run a return line back to the tank? Can I just plug this port? Any help is appreciated.

My car has 2 lines like you are talking about, all I did was buy a new fuel pump with a 2 line set up. It was only $25 on ebay, brand new. It was for a 455.

I'm sure if you only have a 2 line system, you can just go over to eBay and get a 2 line pump, they have them on there too

 

YES you can plug it. Use the ones you need,a nd just plug the other one... I did the same thing. It won't be *SHOW* but it does the trick The pump works fine it is just that one thing that makes it different (it's for a four barrel not a two) make sure she is PLUGGED THOUGH LOL
