Windshield tint

Do you guys know if the windshields (1970-72 A body) had blue or brownish tint at the top edge depending on ac car or not? I saw a windshield advertised and seller advertised blue top edge tint for ac car.

I thought it was blue. I could be wrong but I don't remember brown.

Both my '70's - coupe, convertible, no AC - have blue. I can't remember ever seeing another color.

OE was blue. There are some aftermarket windshields made with a gray tint bar.

The original windshield in my 72 hard top factory A/C car has a brown tint. Original Softray glass.

The glass in my 72 vista A/C car looks like it was more of a blue tint. I do not know if that had the original glass in it though.

Yes I have two with brown so I’m not alone. Guess it was the color at the time and not an ac or not thing?

Both my 1970 Cutlasses (Lansing-built, air conditioned) had original glass with blue band.

The parts book only shows "clear" or "tinted". It doesn't show different types of tint. I don't know if this was a supplier issue or assembly plant issue or a replaced windshield issue, but the factory only has one part number for tinted for each year and application.

Age will discolor the blue.
