68 442 Hood Insulation
Does a 68 442 W30 get the hood insulation? The reason I ask, someone mentioned that they thought the W30 didn't get the insulation. My Assembly Manual section 11, page 186 that covers the hood insulation install is barley legible.

The callout on that page says "Except 3100 and 3200". F85s did not get the sound deadener (3100 is six cylinder F85, 3200 is eight cylinder F85). All others did. It's the 1970-72 W30s that did not get it, since they had hood scoops. Olds marketing sold this as "reduced sound deadener" like it was some great weight savings.
