Any knowledgeable welder/plasma cutter people in readerland?
I have a Snap On plasma cutter. I bought it used probably 10 years ago. From tge research I have done, it’s based on Miller machine. I’m trying to locate replacement parts for the torch. There is a label inside the door with a Snap On part number for consumables, my snap on guy is having no luck with ordering them. The welding supply stores haven’t been any help either. Anyone know what I need to ask for? Thanks. This is th me front panel of my plasma cutter
This is the label inside the machine for replacement consumables for the torch. The snap on guy says he can’t order them
You you have a ICE 27C torch. You should be able to go to any weld supply store and tell them you need a consumables kit for that torch or do an internet search for that torch.

That plasma cutter family is a convoluted mess, The machine was a joint venture between Hypertherm and Miller. Miller manufactured the machines in Appleton for themselves, Hypertherm, Snapon, Mac, Matco, Solar and Century. All machines used a Hypertherm manufactured torch ,they all looked the same and some even carried the same part number. The best part was that not all consumables were the same, if memory serves me correctly the o-ring, retaining cap and the tip could interchange between all the machines but the swirl ring and electrode would not.
I have seen snapon machines use snapon proprietary consumables, miller consumables and hyperther consumables depending on the machine and if the torch is original. I believe the miller will interchange with your plasma as long as the torch head has never been changes
Who is left in Kokomo for welding distributors, the old Mittler is now Praxair and I believe Airgas has a store , is there an Indiana oxygen or another independent to go to?

I tried both Praxair and Airgas, neither said they could match my parts. Maybe they really couldn’t, or didn’t want to mess with the hassles of the Snsp On/Miller halfbreed?
I have had this machine for probably 15 years, I don’t use it very often. There were a bunch of extra tips, o-rings, and other parts in the little storage compartment. It taken that long for me to use them. If I had know replacement parts would be this much of a hassle to find I would have searched and bought them much earlier.
