68 W31 Air Cleaner Decal

68 Ram Rod Air Cleaner Decal
What is the correct decal for the '68 Ram Rod air cleaners? When looking for replacement decals, the only ones I find state that they are for '69s, not '68s. I always thought they were the same. However, when I searched the web for pictures of '68 RamRods, I've seen them both ways:
A) Just like the '69 decals that are available applied directly to the chrome lid ("Oldsmobile RAM-ROD" w/ the little dual-piston 350 logo between the RAM and ROD and covers only the forward half of the air cleaner lid)
B) Just like a plain old "Rocket 350" pie-tins that are set on top of the chrome lid and held by the chrome center piece under the wing nut ("Oldsmobile" in the rear half and "Rocket 350" in the front half).
TIA.

I can't say that I'd trust any "restored" car to be correct. Here are factory press photos from 1968, showing the metal "Rocket 350" pie pan. Unfortunately, factory press photos were often of pre-production cars that may or may not reflect the final production configuration.

Thanks Joe.
Agreed, we need to be cautious with web pictures of possibly incorrectly restored cars. However, after more searching I stumbled across this post that agrees w/ the vintage press photo you provided (not sure why that post didn't come up when I searched CO earlier this morning). In any case, if you believe all the vendors selling Olds air cleaner adornments, they all agree that the '69 W30/W31s are the only ones that had a decal on the air cleaner that said "Ram Rod". The '68s seem to have all used the pie tins with no "Ram Rod".

I'm not a W-31 expert (hey, all my cars are big blocks ), but I do know that for every other car Olds made, the 68s all came from the factory with pie pans and the 69s all came with decals.
