What is the correct air cleaner decal for a 1972 442 with 455? Is it 'Rocket 455' or '442'? I know somebody owns a 72 U-code and can answer this...thanks!

It depends on if you have a a 455 2 barrel or a 455 4 barrel look up on yearone's website they show two SEPERATE one's for a 2 barrel and one for a 4 barrel they look the same the item # WX36 OR A AJ464 hope this is helpfull

Thanks for the info...mine has the 4-bbl but still not sure if it should have the '455 4-bbl' decal or the '442' decal. Anybody?

Ok, here's what I've got. A fellow I know Tom K has a virtual time machine and history bonanza for answering your question. He has a 4700 (actual documented) miles 72 442 with a 455 4 bbl. I've attached some pictures to show you the amazing details of the original air cleaner and his car. I would imagine you could put a 442 air cleaner decal on if you wanted, but I think those were more for the 350 engines with the W29 appearance package.
