Trunk lock
Trunk lock
Hi Everyone,
I can't get my trunk to unlock. The key turns but doesn't release the lock. It has always worked before. Any ideas on how to get this open with minimal pain? Thanks Matt

A little C4 should do it!!
Or, you could remove the rear seat, climb into the trunk and either unbolt the latch or turn the latch with a screwdriver or pliers if the rod is still in there. If you can't fit in there, get a crap load of socket extensions and just unbolt the latch.

Try pushing down on the trunk lid while you turn the key.
Second option is to remove the rear seat, and use a bunch of socket extensions taped together and remove the 3 bolts that hold the lock.
I thinking alot if extensions. Besides the 3 bolts there is also a Phillips head in the Lowe center. Any idea what that is for? I will have to pass On the c4 though thanks for the tip anyway.
Can't get into the trunk from the passenger compartment without using a SawZall to cut out the devider panel.
