Transmission question

I have a 71 Cutlass 4 door and everytime I drive it transmission fluid leaks bad and burns fluid off the pipes I was told its not the seal and its leakin transmission fluid back up the dipstick but I took the transmission out and it was alot of fluid in the stick could it be the pressure from the pump inside the transmission be pumping it back up and once it runs it hesitates to go in gear could anyone tell me what could be the problem?

Sounds like it is over filled or the vent is clogged.

If you stick anything in it to try and clear it you run the risk of pushing it into the transmission. This goes for blowing air into it also. I would hook a shop vac up and apply suction to it somehow.

This problem seems to be more common on 4-door cars. Of course I am kidding about that. Hey is is a turbo 350 and there are millions of them still around. I would take it to a reputable transmission shop and see what they say. It can't be the first one that has done this. Good luck.
